BIO

Nikki Toole is based in Paris. Originally from Scotland, she has lectured in London, Edinburgh, Paris, Melbourne and the United States on the subjects of photography and cultural identities. Her work is held in private collections worldwide. She has exhibited widely in the UK, Europe and Australia, where her work has been selected 5 times for The National Photographic Portrait Prize, and she was guest judge in 2015. In 2020 she was a finalist in the Taylor Wessing Photographic Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in London. In 2015 her series Skater had a solo show at The National Portrait Gallery of Australia. In 2015 the project was published by Kehrer Verlag in Germany and is distributed worldwide.
