Meantime is a small, exploratory study born from a simple question: what changes the moment someone knows they’re being photographed? As a photographer, I’m fascinated by the subtle shift, more than just posture or expression that occurs when intention enters the frame. The series began with portraits of friends. While chatting and testing light, I quietly took black and white images before announcing that I was ready to shoot. Then came the "official" portraits, this time in colour. Side by side, these before-and-after moments reveal something intriguing: a quiet duality in how we present ourselves, knowingly and unknowingly. Meantime examines that liminal space between the candid and the performed. The brief, unguarded pause before we become our photographed selves.
